1987 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L XJ (second generation). The second generation Cherokee used a unibody construction and is powered by a 4.0L inline-6 cylinder engine that produces 173 bhp at 4500 RPM and 298 NM of torque at 2500 RPM. The Jeep XJ utilizes front and rear beam axle components (live axles) with a coil spring with a separate shock absorber Quadra-Link front suspension and a leaf spring with a separate shock absorber rear suspension. This version has the Command-Trac set in 4-wheel high.
